With the new DDR5 technology slowly replacing the aging DDR4 technology, the next generation of processors has adopted the new standard of DDR5 technology as it has allowed the entry of high-performance RAM kits to enter the market and the latest DDR5 Technology has been adopted by Intel’s 14th Gen Meteor Lake processors such as the Core I9 14900K processor. In anticipation of the new flagship processors, G.Skill has launched its all-new high-end Trident Z5 lineup which is aimed at dedicated enthusiasts who like to squeeze out all of the performance from their components.

The G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB line-up as the name suggests features integrated RGB which can be controlled and customized by the user as per their liking. It also adds extra aesthetics to the overall gaming setup especially if it is using a windowed casing that can showcase the RGB of the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB. In terms of design, the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB series managed to retain the overall theme of the Trident series as the design still has the fin incorporated and the heat spreaders are made out of aluminum which sports a two-toned color theme in black and white, making them look quite elegant. 

In terms of measurements, the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB measures 42mm in vertical height along with its heat spreader which is available in either metallic matte black or metallic silver as per the choice of the user. As this variant features RGB as the name suggests, it also features a translucent bar which can be found on top of the memory module which is exclusive to the RGB variant. As discussed earlier, the RGB lighting is controlled by the user through the Trident Z Lighting Control software which can be downloaded or installed through the provided CD.

The Trident Z5 RGB is available in different capacities and different memory clock frequencies. As per our test unit, our RAM kit was able to run at DDR5-4800 MHz with the latency timings being 40-40-40-76, once the XMP profile was enabled, it was able to run at a memory clock frequency of 6000 MHz with the timings being 36-36-36-76 at a DRAM voltage of 1.3V, providing exceptional performance across the board.

It also comes with a lifetime warranty limited warranty which further shows that G.Skill has a lot of faith in their RAM kits which are manufactured whilst keeping quality and reliability at the core of their heart. With the release of the new Intel’s Meteor Lake 14th generation processors such as the Intel Core i9 14900K, it is of utmost importance for gamers to pair the absolute best RAM kits with a flagship processor to utilize all available performance.

The review unit that we received was a G.Skill Ripjaws S5 series DDR5 RAM kit which out of the box was able to run at 6000 MHz with the latency timings hovering around CL30. This G.Skill Ripjaws S5 Series RAM kit is available in varying capacities from 8GB to 32GB and beyond, in our case, we were provided with the 32GB capacity in the 16GBx2 configuration. It is important to note that G.skill has been considerate enough to provide multiple color choices which is why the G.Skill Ripjaws S5 Series is available in both black and white colors, providing users with the ability to design and sport their colorful theme. The G.Skill Ripjaws S5 series RAM kit runs at a voltage of 1.10V at stock which ramps up to 1.35V with the Intel XMP 3.0 profile.

Coming to the overall design and specifications, the G.Skill Ripjaws S5 measures 132mm x 33mm x 5mm which means that the RAM kit is 33mm tall, making it low-profile which helps with the clearance and avoids any potential conflict with the CPU cooler. It has a heat spreader which is made out of aluminum and has racing stripes as well as grills across the heat spreader, giving the G.Skill Ripjaws S5 a very aggressive look in the black color at least. The design is quite minimalistic but at the same time, it sports a very aggressive and elegant look.

Corsair understands that the RGB itself is also an integral part of the PC world and users like to flaunt their builds with its RGB which is why Corsair has also integrated RGB in their Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB series which is fully customizable by the user and can synchronize across the board with other components. To play with the RGB integrated into Corsair’s Dominator Platinum RGB series, the Corsair iCUE software can be downloaded and installed from Corsair’s website.

The Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM kit that we received was in black and had a matte-black finish across the entire RAM. The RGB on the RAM modules was utilizing Corsair’s proprietary Capellix RGB technology which made the RGB stand out quite vividly with beautiful colors. The RAM module had a heat spreader which was made out of aluminum to help with the thermal management and dissipation of heat efficiently which also gave the RAM kit a very premium feel overall. It is important to mention that Corsair’s Dominator Platinum RGB RAM kit utilizes the Dominator DHX (Dual-Path Heat Exchange) technology which is utilized by the heat spreaders to dissipate the heat efficiently.

The Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM kits are available in varying capacities from 8GB to 32GB with different clock memory frequencies and timings. The Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM kit that we received was able to run at 7200 MHz with the latency timings being 34-44-44-44-96 with Intel’s XMP 3.0 (Extreme Memory Profile). Out of the box, the RAM kits were able to achieve the standard 4800 MHz with latency timing hovering around CL40. Corsair Dominator Platinum Series comes with great overclocking potential which allowed us to overclock it to 8300 MHz with CL34 latency timing.

The Fury Beast is constructed strongly with the highest quality components and undergoes strict screening and testing to meet the standards. This is why the Fury Beast is a great RAM kit that can offer you reliable and stable performance when doing heavy-duty tasks.

The Fury Beast DDR5 has an appealing design which consists of a black PCB with fully anodized aluminum heat spreaders which has a premium matte black finish to it. This heat spreader design allows heat to be efficiently dissipated which allows the RAM to operate in optimal temperatures for stability and reliability. The Kingston Fury Beast is available with RGB and without RGB but the RGB Fury Beast has a little more height compared to the non-RGB kit. The non-RGB kit has a very low profile height of 34.9mm while the RGB kit has a height of 42.23mm. The Fury Beast RGB comes with superb RGB lighting with multiple addressable lighting zones and a variety of lighting customization that can be controlled either by Kingston’s FURY CTRL software or by the motherboard’s lighting software.

The Fury Beast does not disappoint in tests, it meets its advertised claims and especially for its reasonable pricing, it’s a very enticing RAM kit option for many users. Its low-profile construction, aesthetics, and great reliability are also reasons why people love the Fury Beast so much. It also features SK Hynix chips which are one of the finest and most reliable IC chips out there in the market alongside the likes of Samsung IC chips. However, do note that in terms of overclocking, there was only a little headroom for doing so. In comparison to other contenders, the Kingston Fury Beast did not outperform any of them drastically other than in some workloads but it is still a great RAM kit to purchase if you want something that works reliably and performs as expected out of the box along with sporting an appealing design. 

Overall, the Kingston Fury Beast is one of the best value options out there that offers a sweet balance between performance, aesthetics, and budget.

The TeamGroup’s T Force Delta RGB RAM kits are available in varying capacities ranging from 8GB to 32GB as well as different memory clock frequencies and latency timings. Our TeamGroup’s T Force Delta RGB RAM kit featured 32GB of memory capacity in the 2x16GB capacity. Out of the box, the RAM kit was able to achieve a memory clock frequency of 4800 MHz with 4-40-40-76 latency timing on its first run. Once the Intel XMP 3.0 (Extreme Memory Profile) was enabled, TeamGroup’s T Force Delta RGB RAM kit was able to run at a whopping memory clock frequency of 6000 with the DRAM voltage set at 1.35V, achieving 40-40-40-84 latency timing which was an exceptionally great performance. The IC chips used in these memory modules are from SK Hynix which further explains the great performance that is being provided.

In terms of the design, the TeamGroup’s T Force Delta RGB RAM kit has a very simplistic and minimalistic look with the two-toned color theme in black and white, the heat spreader is mainly made out of aluminum and has a black texture on it with the “T Force” and the logo itself on top of the heat spreader in white color which provides the RAM with its two-tone color theme. Some of you might be disappointed with the excessive branding which is found on the exterior but moving past the branding itself, the RAM kit itself looks quite elegant and sleek. It also has a translucent plastic strip on the top which is used for RGB bling. It measures around 46.1mm in terms of vertical height so it isn’t quite exactly low-profile and might incur conflict with some CPU Coolers.

The RAM kits have a dimension of 133.5 x 44 x 7.66mm and use the highest quality SK Hynix ICs which are known for their high performance and reliability. It also includes thermal pads for the PMIC to further increase heat dissipation.

The RGB in the Fury Renegade is very pleasing to look at and it owes much of its success to Kingston revamping its RGB by implementing its patented FURY Infrared Sync Technology that uses dynamic LED bars on the heat spreaders. This provides very vivid and bright RGB that makes your PC build exhibit a striking appearance. Kingston Fury Renegade branding can also be seen on the LED bar and the sides of the RAM modules. To customize the RGB lighting for these RAM kits, you can use FURY CTRL which is Kingston’s RGB software that comes with sixteen unique presets and you can alternatively use the motherboard RGB software to control the RGB lighting effects. Additionally, Kingston offers their customers a lifetime warranty in case anything happens with these RAM kits but it’s very unlikely you will run into any issues.

The Fury Renegade is available in a variety of fast clock speeds ranging from 6000 MHz to 7200 MHz. The 6000 MHz variant we have on hand has timings of 32-38-38-80 2T at an operating voltage of 1.35V after being overclocked using the XMP profiles. Out of the box, it runs at only 4800 MHz with 40-39-39-80 2T timings at a voltage of 1.1V. Overclocking manually was a bit of a challenge and is quite limited but it offers extremely good performance under extreme workloads even through using just the preset XMP profiles.

Overall, it’s a high-performing RAM kit for the i9 14900K which offers exceptional performance out of the box along with bright and vivid RGB at a premium price point. So if you want a RAM kit that works extremely well without any frets then this is the one for you.
